PROJECT OVERVIEWCES Portal

An academic team project for organizing donation records and volunteer submissions for Community Extension Services.

Next.js · React · TypeScript

01 / Purpose

The problem

Donation and volunteer information needs an organized record-keeping workflow. The prototype supports those records rather than physical receiving, sorting or distribution.

02 / People

Role & context

My account's commit history covers donation workflows, inventory and dashboard views, Volunteer features, authentication, Activity management, Notices, and related tests. Commit association does not mean I personally authored every line.

Academic team project. Individual responsibilities are separate from the team's application outcomes; no sole-development claim is made.

Development used AI-assisted workflows, including generated planning, code, tests and documentation. Git history does not establish the exact human or AI contribution to each line.

03 / The work

What it does

  • Goods and cash donation recording with validation and transactional audit writes
  • Expiry-based inventory views and a summary dashboard
  • Managed Activities and public Volunteer signup
  • Staff authentication and ADMIN-only Notices management
  • QuickChart QR and OpenStreetMap integration code

04 / Implementation

How it works

Next.js Server Components and Server Actions connect validated forms to server-side MySQL queries. Selected mutations use parameterized SQL, transactions, role checks and revision checks.

The selected committed prototype contains donation recording, inventory, dashboard, Volunteer, Activity, authentication and Notices source. Local polish does not establish the deployed revision or production acceptance.

05 / Evidence

Testing & limitations

Project documentation records synthetic MySQL demo acceptance on October 14, 2026 and separate local presentation checks on October 16. The presentation run records 25 midterm passes with two database suites skipped; a separate R2 navigation assertion still expects five links rather than six. These are historical results, not tests executed for this portfolio.

Unfinished Donation Records work from the original copy is excluded. Real-data operation, durable consent, retention and production readiness remain unresolved. No current full-suite, security, accessibility or institutional-adoption claim is made.
